This is the test make-up done on Boris Karloff for the Monster in the original 1931 Frankenstein.

There is only one B&W still of this make-up and it was used as the basis for a color painting by James Bama for a 1967 Bantam paperback edition of Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein. I bought that paperback then and I always wanted to capture this make-up in a bust.

Stands 6″ with the base. It comes in 4 pieces, bust, 2 neck bolts and base. This bust is the 4th in my second series of Boris Karloff busts licensed by Karloff Enterprises.

This 1/4 scale bust is solid resin, painted, signed and numbered and available only through me.

Also available unpainted.
